Hiburim B’Haklaut is a Zionist organization focused on social initiatives operating in the field for a decade, aiming to address the plight of farmers in Israel and strengthen agriculture's position as part of the nation's infrastructure and social fabric. Over the years, we have taken upon ourselves to address national missions. We asked ourselves daily what is required of us at this time. Each year we added a layer of action and responsibility for more and more areas of the Zionist endeavor.
The organization currently accompanies hundreds of farms throughout the country and operates thousands of volunteers throughout the year. Activities are conducted through personal familiarity with each farmer's needs and through a systemic view that understands the connection between agriculturaland national resilience.
The organization's uniqueness lies in combining immediate responses to needs arising from the field with in-depth processes of accompaniment, community strengthening, and connection between sectors, generations, and populations. Activities include agricultural projects, collaborations with educational institutions, civil organizations and institutional bodies, and extensive deployment in the north, south, and border areas.
Hiburim B’Haklaut sees agriculture not just as an occupation, but as a cornerstone of Israeli society's identity and social fabric. The organization operates from national responsibility, stability, and long-term presence, building infrastructures of trust, professionalism, mutual responsibility, and practical Zionism.
The "Iron Swords" war exposed one of the most critical challenges to Israel's resilience: farmers left on their own, uncultivated fields, evacuated communities, entire regions cut off from basic infrastructure. In the north, south, and border areas, urgent needs arose in agriculture, community rehabilitation, and education.
Within days, Hiburim B’Haklaut transformed from routine operations to an emergency command center providing assistance to hundreds of farmers across the country. The number of inquiries, action sites, field teams grew at an unprecedented rate. We quickly reached tens of thousands of volunteers, including volunteers from abroad from over 20 countries.
We understood there was a need to provide comprehensive and immediate responses to various challenges. We established infrastructures, built partnerships, and coordinated multi-system activities based on existing experience and rapid response to the demand of the hour. We operated and continue to operate in fields, settlements, schools, and civilian spaces. This activity is not just a response to the situation, but a real declaration of presence and a direction for continuation.
Faithful to our path of addressing national missions, we took upon ourselves, during the war, to intensify and expand to additional areas of action that would address the needs required at this time. We set ourselves the goal of being partners in the Zionist endeavor in every sense of the word. We do this by establishing mission groups at the borders, establishing Garenei Nahal groups, creating rehabilitation, educational, and social projects in cooperation with institutional, civil, and settlement bodies. Along the way, many from all over the country joined us. Together we work to implement the array of actions and missions we've taken upon ourselves. We are here to build, connect, and serve as an anchor of stability and national responsibility wherever we're needed. This is the time to grow a new story together.
