Our Story Begins

in the soil…

Hands that work and a heart that believes.

Between furrows and roots, for over a decade we've been planting hope, building community, cultivating Zionism.

The Hiburim B'Haklaut (Connections in Agriculture) organization was born from an aspiration to address the national missions of our generation, from a belief that agriculture is not just a matter of territory, but of identity and belonging.

We initiate, lead, and accompany agricultural-social projects throughout the country, from the labor of sowing to the fruits of education, out of recognition of the value of working the land and the human connection it offers, with the goal of strengthening communities, connecting people to the land, and cultivating meaningful action.

We operate to meet the demand of the hour: agricultural-social Zionism. Rehabilitating border communities, strengthening communities in Israel's periphery, assisting evacuated and mobilized farmers, establishing Garenei Nahal groups and youth centers at the borders, agricultural partnerships with IDF wounded veterans, initiatives for food security, and cultivating a new generation of Israeli agriculture.

Four Stories

.One Root

The Agricultural Story

The land is the starting point. It remembers what we forget: where we started, what truly sustains life here. We don't just engage in agricultural work, but in reconnecting people to the land, settlement to roots, tractor to vision, and together we plow a new story.

The National Story

There are moments in history when the story of Israel is rewritten. We believe this is happening now. We are in a historic period when historic deeds are being done, in border areas, in communities that were damaged, in farms that strengthen our food security. We understand that agriculture is not just a matter of geography or territory, but a matter of identity, of Zionism, of connection. Agriculture is a symbol and model of national responsibility, and we choose daily to mobilize for the demand of the hour, the national mission, not just in words but in deeds. To build, to repair, to sow and to cultivate.

The Community Story

Community is not just a residential space; it's infrastructure for resilience. In cities, settlements, and kibbutzim that were damaged, as well as in peripheral areas, we work to strengthen the local fabric and community resilience. This includes agricultural work, regional initiatives, and long-term collaborations. This is not external intervention, but creating processes of true partnership that enable communities to stabilize, recover, and grow. We see community as the central resource with which and through which we can cultivate anew and hold the territory over time.

The Human Story

Agriculture is an opportunity for us to meet in the field the beautiful faces and human fabric of Israel: farmers, IDF wounded veterans, youth, young people before and after military/national service, educators, communities from the periphery and border areas, reservists, and many other good people along the way. Agricultural activity creates for everyone a framework of purpose, belonging, and mutual responsibility, all through genuine partnership and a human and social perspective that contains love of the people and the land.
